宗旨

成功大學醫學檢驗生物技術學系為了推展與研發新的醫學檢驗技術,特於民國95年成立醫學檢驗技術研究中心,其主旨為以新的分子生物學及前瞻檢驗技術來診斷新的檢驗標的,並提供臨床檢體的檢驗服務。

本中心目前分為三大主題: 感染病組,代謝疾病組,與癌症檢驗組。

感染病組目前的檢驗項目包括細菌抗藥性分析,細菌流行病學分析,環境與食品微生物檢測,致病性黴菌的鑑定,B型肝炎病毒pre-S突變種表面抗原基因檢測,以及人類病毒檢測、流感病毒及腸病毒71型抗体檢測,流感病毒抗藥性分析,流感及腸病毒71型抗病毒藥物篩檢等。

代謝疾病組則提供同半胱氨酸測定,胺基酸分析,DNA甲基化定量,以及DNA氧化傷害分析等。此外,也著手研發新的代謝疾病檢驗標的。

癌症檢驗組則以分子診斷技術來分析相關的腫瘤標的。目前提供的項目有以即時PCR來檢驗k-Ras致癌基因的表現量。淋巴癌免疫球蛋白及T細胞載體的單株化分析等。此外也提供各種致癌或抑癌基因的多型性分析,例如動情激素載體基因及DNA修復基因等。

The Departmental Research Center for Medical Laboratory Biotechnology was established to develop advanced medical technologies and apply them to be used in clinical services. The center was divided into three groups: Infectious diseases, Metabolic diseases and Cancers. Each group offers laboratory techniques in its specific areas. The Infectious Diseases group focuses on analyses of bacterial antibiotic resistances, bacterial epidemiologies, environmental and food microorganisms, fungus identifications; detection of the hepatitis B virus pre- S mutant surface gene by biochip, laboratory diagnosis for viral infections, antibody analysis of influenza virus and enterovirus 71, drug resistance analysis of influenza virus, antiviral screening for influenza virus and enterovirus 71. The Metabolic Diseases group aims to develop new bio-markers for metabolic disorders, including analyses of blood homocysteine levels, amino acid profiles, DNA methylation quantitation, and 8-hydroxyguanine DNA lesion detection. The Cancers group focuses on tumor markers by advanced molecular diagnosis, including detection of k-Ras expression by real-time RT-PCR, analyses of immunoglobulin and T-cell receptor clonalities. It also offers analyses on genetic polymorphisms in a number of oncogenes or tumor suppressors, such as estrogen receptors and a number of DNA repair genes.
